Fine Art and portrait painting have been my main focus since receiving my BFA from RIT in 1971. I pursued a graphics arts career and after 35 years, retired from a school district and started teaching watercolor in my studio. After a few years, I started offering other mediums such as cut paper and mixed media. I enjoy photography at my country home and my studio provides plenty of inspiration for myself and students. After several years, I discovered the joy of sumie ink, another way to express watercolors in black and white.
I’ve been teaching classes for 16 years and taking on portrait commissions which I also enjoy. My challenge is discovering new ways to create abstractions found in nature with an “eye” on our human connection to Mother Earth.
